In my last blog post I mentioned my slight unsuccessful day trying to print the background to the print below but as you can see in the image below I have achieved it this week! It took a long time of trial and error and a lot of printing on newsprint but I got there.

This week started with me accidentally removing the portrait that I had previously applied to this stone using gum transfer, I used too strong of an etch which wiped the portrait off completely, I thought perhaps maybe some would be brought back after inking the stone up in the second etch but alas it did
